About the recording

Although released under my own name, Honeymoon Bridge is not a solitary record. Roo Geddes’ fiddle and piano are present at the centre of it, answering, carrying, unsettling and completing the music throughout.

The intent to record together goes back further than this album, and further than 2025’s Two Boats Under the Moon. I first played with Roo after my old school friend, the Glasgow cellist Quintin Doyle, invited us both to take part in Glasgow Hears Syria, an awareness-raising concert at St Mary’s Cathedral in 2015.
