Drunk at Night, Dry in the Morning

Found in Gow’s Third Repository of 1806, Drunk at Night, Dry in the Morning belongs to a tune-family that also appears in Irish sources and under other titles, including Whistle and I’ll Come to You, My Lad and Since Love is the Plan.

This tune was first brought onto the Lindsay System chanter by Gordon Ewan, jeweller in Kirriemuir and a long-time player of the instrument. Here it is taken as a duet for piano and smallpipes.
